Departure Inforamtion:

Meet at Piggly Wiggly (the Plains) Lot at 11:30 AM

GOAL - depart by 12:00

→ Eat lunch before Sunday Drop off - Dinner isn't until 6:30

→ When packing - Leave tent separate

Wear field uniform (Class A - Tan) with Neckerchief

→ Wear your swimsuit under your uniform (towel in day bag)

Class B - Can change into Troop shirt after troop pictures

 Day Bag should stay with you (more on this later)

Packing Reminders:

LINK: Scout Packing List

→ Extra Soaks & Extra Underwear - I'd suggest like 10

→ Rain Gear - Something light like a poncho

→ Sweater or light jacket - it can be in the mid 50's at night

→ Double  & Triple Check your merit badge prerequisites (pack)

→ Don't forget your water bottle

→ Don't forget spending Money ($50 to $60)


Prescriptions & Personal

→ Prescription lockbox: yes, this has a combination lock.   If your scout requires medications,  please write the basics on an index card or similar. (Frequency, doses, any other considerations)

→ Feminine Hygiene Products: Remind your scout to pack her preferred products. The trooTroops have a just-in-case supply, which scouts are aware of.

New Drug Admistor Form Must be completed with any Medications


Departure Day (Sat 28th)

     Breakfast at Camp - then pack up

     Checkout: 9:30 to 10:30

     Depart CFR: 10:30est

     Arrival at Piggly Wiggly - ETA 12 to 12:30

     → Actual ETA will be sent via Team Reach.


Communications:

Cell Phones: 

The Troop policy is that scouts will not be on phones, But we realize phones are cameras. If your scout brings a cell phone, they will be responsible for lost or damaged phones. There are no charging stations in the Camp designated for Scout usage. All adult Leaders will have their phones if you need to reach your scout. Also, the Camp contact information can be found in the Troop parent letter.

Troop App

We will communicate using the Team Reach app throughout the week. Service may be spotty & slow, so you should expect response delays.

Photo Updates: 

I will create a new album in our website members' area (LINK). I will add new photos to this album each day. If you are not a member of the troop site, you will not be able to see the album. So, if you still need to set up a username or password, you can click here to do so.

   Sunday: Silly Socks Day

   Tuesday: "Training Day" – Recognize of advanced Scout training courses.

      + Camp Luau Party  (Pack a Hawaiian shirt)      

   Wednesday: "Order of the Arrow Day" – OA callouts – wear OA uniform parts      

   Thursday: "High Adventure Day" – Wear your high adventure camp items      

   Friday: "Friendship Day"  

   Saturday: "Wear silly Soaks day" - Move out day


Pioneers Program:

Need: Scouts and Adults participating in the Frontier Program and rendezvous should bring a flannel shirt, water container, blanket, and ground cloth (pioneers only)

Requirements:  12 years old and 1st Class, have SM approval.
